Project Leader with Safety background
Job description
Activities that fall into the responsibilities of the project leader:
- Preparation and Implementation of the project initiatives (budget, capacity plan, risk register, planning/roadmap,….) in an optimal way (e.g.: via lean and agile methodology if relevant)
- Manage the change and communication plan of the project and put it in place, in collaboration with the change agents on the field
- Create presentations/articles about the project in French and Dutch to the stakeholders (internal and external)
- Preparation of reporting (status, budget, capacity plan, risk register, KPI), meeting minutes and steerco presentations
- Ensure actions and communication is aligned with the rest of the program
- Work together with the group safety Dept and others dept. (communication, IT,…)
Requirements
Hard skills and soft skills:
- Engineering (civil/ind.) degree
- Safety experience (cultural aspects, hazardous environments): big plus
- Experience of at least 5 years on field projects (linked with safety is a plus).
- Project management / Change management
- Knowledge of Safety and field work
- Well organised
- Attention for details
- Assertive with excellent written & oral communication skills (French and Dutch)
- Autonomous and capable to manage and respect project deadlines
- Positive, driven & pro-active mind-set
- Client focused attitude: PMO has to support project leaders/owners
- Practices good relationship management/stakeholder management: coordination with external parties and inter-departmental
Languages:
- Dutch/French: mandatory Fluent (spoken and written)
- English is a plus
