Senior Infrastructure Project Manager

Job description

  • Lead complex cloud migration projects from kick-off to closure
    • Effective collaboration across internal teams and other suppliers / stakeholders.
    • Cloud infrastructure and migration project management experience
    • Experience of end to end Cloud adoption is highly advantageous
    • Experience helping organisations migrate to, build on and optimize their Cloud technology through advisory, delivery planning and implementation is advantageous
    • Driving and motivating delivery teams to perform effectively and efficiently within broader programmes, in line with client and delivery lead expectations
  • A Project Manager ensures the project is completed on time and within budget, and that the project's objectives are met (according to scope).
  • Projects are separate to usual day-today business activities and require a group of people to work together to achieve a set of specific objectives.
  • A Project Manager oversees the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied.

A project manager is accountable for the realisation of a project (*):

  • setup of the project:
    • agree project objectives with management and stakeholders
    • ensure project effort and cost estimation
    • ensure project planning
    • ensure project sourcing: setup of project staffing and/or sub-contracting
  • monitoring of the project:
    • ensure availability of all project deliverables, observing scope, quality (a.o. functional requirements, work orders towards internal or external suppliers), costs and deadlines as foreseen in the plans
    • ensure that all objectives and requirements are taken into account
    • monitor and manage all risks related to the project
    • respect of rules and standards:
    • ensure application of the gating principles at the different project stages
    • ensure that all involved parties, including sub-contractors, adhere to enterprise rules and standards (including Compliance, Permanent Control and Operational Risk)
  • documentation and reporting on the project:
    • ensure that the different project documents are created and maintained during the project’s life to reflect all changes occurred
    • publish the regular progress reports
    • contribute to the preparation of the project steering committees
  • representation of the project:
    • participate in the project steering committees and other appropriate meetings
    • ensure communication between the business and the different stakeholders
  • handover of the project deliverables:
    • continuously align and share information during the project with the parties who will ensure the “run” activity once the project is finished, handover at the end of the project


If no organizational (dedicated) change manager is appointed, the Project Manager is responsible for the design of the change management plan together with the Core Team, and for the coordination of the change management actions in order to come to an adoption of the solution. He/she manages functionally (on content) the team assigned to his/her project. Project managers typically lead by example. A project manager can manage one or more projects.

  • accountabilities can cover all aspects of a project from the beginning stages through to completion
  • accountabilities can spread over multiple businesses (e.g. IT, legal, HR, Marketing, etc.) or be limited to one business
  • accountabilities can spread over multiple disciplines inside a business (e.g. both software and hardware aspects in an IT project) and multiple assets

Requirements

English Sound knowledge of English as well as (at least) one local language
Required experience/ knowledge At least 5 years of relevant experience
Business experience mandatory
  • Knowledge of the BNPPF organization and objectives. Knowledge of the banking world in general.
  • Experience in the specific context of the project (IT, commercial, legal, …, or a mix of these).
  • Knowledge of the specific functional context of the project (domain knowledge).
  • Experience in project management methods, processes and tools – knowledge of the standards in use in the enterprise.
  • Experience with ADKAR
