Dealer Performance Project Manager (Freelance)

Job description

D'Ieteren Automotive is the official distributor of the Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Porsche brands, as well as spare parts and accessories. D'Ieteren Automotive has around 1.2 million VW Group vehicles in circulation, representing a market share of almost 24%. D'Ieteren Automotive manages a strong network of independent dealers throughout the country and directly operates dealers on the Brussels-Mechelen-Antwerp axis.

To complete its offering, it sells used vehicles (My Way and Audi Approved+) and provides maintenance, financing and leasing services through VDFin, a joint subsidiary with Volkswagen Financial Services. D'Ieteren Automotive's mission is to create smooth and sustainable mobility for all.

Context of the assignment :

We have established a DPM (Dealer Performance Management) coaching programme at our dealerships to increasingly steer our network towards operational excellence. Our goal is to support and challenge the dealer in implementing action plans to improve the performance of their sales teams in the areas of lead generation, lead management, customer needs analysis, all-in offer of a mobility solution to the customer and customer satisfaction. We expect the new employee to take on a project manager role to coordinate the DPM coaching programmes implemented at our dealerships with the aim of improving sales performance in new vehicle sales across our network.

Duties and responsibilities :

As DPM Project Manager, you must execute the project with quality and respect for deadlines while having a collaborative spirit to establish transversality between the different brands and different departments, both at D'Ieteren Automotive and at the dealership (Leader Market Area (LMA)).

You must be analytical and critical and be able to analyse the LMA's performance against a defined set of KPIs. You will be able to identify areas of inadequate performance and come back to the LMA with a proposal for measures to improve results.

You must be precise and structured to properly organise, plan and coordinate the various working sessions, DPM boards and progress reports to sponsors.

You must regularly communicate and gather feedback from a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external (LMA): District Managers, Network Managers, Brand Managers, IT department, VDFin, Marketing ... to ensure the strong involvement of the various participants in the DPM programme (Sponsors, District & Brand Managers).

You will need to immerse yourself in the operational content and sales process in order to recognise the development and improvement areas of the LMA or to facilitate or resolve certain situations.

You will need to guide, challenge and closely monitor District and Brand Managers in the implementation of action plans. You must ensure that actions implemented have a lasting effect on the LMA's commercial performance.

During the implementation of action plans by the various working groups of the LMA, you will have to provide visibility on the evolution of KPIs to ensure that the target of volume and profitability improvement set with the sponsors is achieved.

  • Bilingual NL/FR + good knowledge of ENG

Education and experience :

  • Master in Management, Business engineering or equivalent through experience
  • At least 5 years of experience, including significant project management experience
  • Experience in automotive sector is a great asset

Timing:

Full-time position from 01/12/2022 tem 31/12/2023
Travel across Belgium : 1 day per week on average.
