Service description:
Elia is looking for a hands on consultant passionate & experienced in guiding the transformation of the Customer, Market & System division. Within the Transformation, Digital & Data and Implementation division of the Customer, Market & System directorate, you will help shape and implement the various transformation activities, including:
Helping coordinate the annual strategic process for the CMS division, working closely with Strategy & DTO (Digital Transformation Office) on the one hand, 50Hertz colleagues from the M division and colleagues within TDI and CMS team [from ambitions, to capability map and portfolio of transformation initiatives, QBR (quarterly Business review)...]. This includes.

  • Drafting a recurrent clear annual plan and scheduling key activities with all necessary stakeholders (CMS/M division/Transformation Team...)
  • Guarantee temporary delivery of outputs so that they can be integrated into annual update exercise of the Business plan; but also &facilitate preparations for quarterly reporting [in future QBR].

Help to make the outputs of the strategic process explicit, translate them into a Release Plan with key milestones and organise the arbitration (prioritisation, resource allocation, link to the impacts and benefits of change) of the transformation projects in the management CMS. This includes.

  • Drafting effective, concise communication materials to clarify the CMS transformation trajectory for the next 5 years and helping develop the communication plan for the entire population
  • Support in defining and monitoring the expected qualitative & quantitative impacts of the transformation programmes, in collaboration with the programme managers and measure the progress of the transformation KPIs on a regular basis;
  • Support in converting the release plan into a consistent 5-year project portfolio and link this to the explicit transformation milestones.
  • Help shape a change framework and competence development framework in collaboration with various stakeholders (Digital Transformation Office, HR, Learning & Development...) and outline an implementation and anchoring process.
  • Ensuring that new project/programme applications are received on time, and submitted for arbitration.
  • Mapping the external and internal influencing factors; including the risks linked to the transformation & converting them into a visually clear dashboard, presentable for management purposes.
  • Ensuring adequate translation of the initiatives/projects into existing or to-be-created transformation programmes & facilitating portfolio prioritisation & communicating on a periodic basis to management.

Requirements

Additional requirements:

  • You have at least 5 years' experience in supervising transformations.
  • Basic knowledge of the energy market is a requirement.
  • You speak perfect English and Dutch or French, and have a basic knowledge in the other language.
  • You have a degree in civil engineering, commercial engineering or master's degree in economics
  • You have an analytical mind.
  • You have solid experience in innovation and ecosystems and good economic judgment.
  • You have a sense of initiative and can work independently.
  • You have great resilience; healthy ability to put things into perspective and cope well with ambiguity.
  • You feel comfortable in a fast-changing context, and can quickly engage with the new context and/or new information in order to translate this into what it means for the Transformation of the division.
  • You have a transversal view; and interest in building in-depth knowledge around the context/programmes in order to challenge them optimally and prepare adequate decisions for senior management.
  • You have excellent communication skills, you can bring up complex topics and steer discussions so that objectives are achieved
  • You are a team player, establish contacts easily and are able to persuade (orally and in writing).
