Project manager Implementation Governance

Job description

Within I-ICT, the team you will join is responsible for defining and following up IT solutions for our strategy and communication directorate, as well as transversal projects for the other support services (HR and Finance).
To strengthen its team, the I-ICT.513 office is looking for a Project Leader, to prepare, launch and coordinate various projects throughout the project life cycle. Depending on the project, the tasks of business analysis and application management will be included in the range of tasks.

As Project Leader, you are responsible for the planning, organisation and execution of various projects within the team. In doing so, you coordinate internal developers and infrastructure managers as well as external suppliers. After all, Infrabel uses packages, including SAP and O365/Microsoft products, but also smaller packages.
As Application manager, you take care of the operational RUN of the applications, follow up incidents and coordinate the successful implementation of corrections, in cooperation with the external supplier of the solution or internal staff.
As an (occasional) business analyst, you are responsible for identifying, clearly communicating and prioritising  the business needs for new, or to be adapted, IT systems. High demands are made with regard to the completeness, correctness and unambiguous formulation of these needs, but also with regard to daring to challenge the internal customer's needs and suggesting alternatives.
Your tasks, depending on your role, will include:

  • Defining the scope and context of new IT systems or parts of them.
  • In cooperation with stakeholders, identifying, aligning and documenting functional and non-functional business needs for these IT systems.
  • Clear communication and follow-up of these business needs to the technical teams responsible for implementation.
  • Drawing up specifications, in which the functional and non-functional business needs, as well as the constraints are documented for the benefit of the developers.
  • Drawing up test requirements (test cases and test scenarios)
  • Performing tests
  • drafting the project plans and the corresponding documentation
  • monitoring the project's planning/scope and budget.
  • interaction and collaboration with the different technical teams involved in the realisation of the projects and with the business team (our internal customer)
  • the organisation of workshops;
  • organising the rollout of the processes and internal procedures (communication, training, coaching);
  • (re)negotiating the contract and managing the supplier(s)
  • documenting the RUN process (operation guides) so that the helpdesk can intervene in case of problems
  • providing support to key users for the use of the application and coordinating support activities for incidents not provided for in the operation guide
  • monitoring the budget for both construction and operational support of the application

Requirements

Technical skills:

  • You have a good knowledge of MS Project
  • experience in business analyses
  • experience in application management
  • experience in "New way of Working" and collaborative projects

Soft skills:

  • Team player
  • You are able to work on several projects simultaneously while respecting priorities and deadlines of the different projects. You have a sense of responsibility and are not afraid of deadlines
