Project Manager/Coordinator project IT Signalling and others

Job description

The I-ICT service supports Infrabel's managements and services for everything related to IT and telecommunications (design, delivery, support, management and maintenance).
Within the latter, the 'Railways Infrastructure Install' cell is an office dedicated to the automation and digitalisation of asset management processes (mainly signalling) ranging from design/definition to commissioning, including parameterisation (data preparation), laboratory testing, installation and field testing in safety missions (example: TBL1+ and, ETCS (European Train Control System)), railway infrastructure expansion and renewal (major modernisations of signalling equipment).

The Railways Infrastructure Install cell realises, maintains, supports contemporary and user-friendly web (or not), mobile (or not) applications and microservices, custom-developed or packages, both centrally and in the field.

For this mission, the 'Railways Infrastructure Install' cell needs an expert project leader/coordinator for various Signalling and other projects of this cell.

Description of the teams with which key projects will be implemented (non-exhaustive list) :

The Smurfs / Munin team comprises Polaris (project management), Munin (digitalisation of mobile signalling component testing). The Muppets / Columbus team includes Columbus (management of beacon configuration files), Mira (management of components per project), Halley (management of lines), Asterism (management of groups of components),...

Tasks

  • Coordinating a team to deliver to our partner (business) what is planned under the projects, adaptive and evolutionary change request within the agreed budget and timing.
  • Developing bid for project start-up or change request realisation.
  • Detailed monitoring of scope, planning (with Jira, PI planning), project budget (actuals, ETC, etc.).
  • Monitoring SDLC methodology project, and SAFe 'Infrabel' (kind of Safescrum).
  • Daily management of the project team.
  • Regular contacts with the PL business to ensure the smooth running of the project.
  • Regular reporting to management.
  • Organising and reporting gate meetings and steerco's.
  • Liaising with the ITA (Infrastructure Technical Architect), with the OCO (Operational Compliance Officer).
  • Monitoring incident corrections and their documentation in the internal tool.
  • Participation in the various scrum ceremonies and in PI Planning.

Requirements

Work schedule

  • Part-time 70% (60% accepted)

Technical skills

  • Knowledge of SAFe ( Scaled Agile) and Agile Scrum
  • 15 years in experience in project management IT
  • Has a very good of different project management methodologies, including SDLC methodology;
  • At least 15 years' experience in project management;
  • Knowledge of Scrum methodology (minimum 7 years' experience in Scrum / agile);
  • SAFe knowledge;
  • Have or have had a SAFe Scrum master certification;
  • 5 years or more experience in projects related to railway infrastructure and/or signalling management;
  • Knowledge of Jira.

Soft skills

Language skills

  • French & English

Notes

  • Be able to speak French and English and write in English/French.
  • Dutch : basic (minimum)
