Business Analyst & Manager - European Projects

Context
As a senior B2B Business Analyst and Manager of day-to-day stakeholder concerns and issues, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on challenging projects, both technical and functional.
The European Standardisation Platforms projects, on which you will work, are key to the alignment, exchange, fluidity, compatibility, integration, transparency, data quality and "core business" business processes of all European railway infrastructure managers (IBs) and railway undertakings (RUs) that want to manage their cross-border transport more efficiently.
These are projects involving (or influenced by) different business departments within Infrabel, whose Lines Of Business are linked to the different stages of rail traffic management (pre-processing, real-time, post-processing, back-office).
In this context, we expect you to be able to carry out the management of this set of programmes by teams within the different departments, both at the transversal Business Analyst level and at the level of day-to-day management of the various alignments between the tasks and needs to be covered by the different teams and their respective Business representatives.
At the level of this coordination and alignment cell, you constructively critique and challenge the proposals of the various Team Analysts and other stakeholders. To this end, you proactively collaborate and report with the Project Leader responsible for all the different tracks to be executed, as well as with the functional contacts of the European platforms.

Tasks

• Analysing the requirements and specifications upon change request
• Analysing the effects on incoming and outgoing flows, as well as internal processes and interactions
• UIting both business and development team requirements
• Pay attention to quality control and challenge both business and testers on test scenarios
• Together with the project manager and technical lead, take care of breaking down functional requirements into different activities and ensure progress monitoring and integration
• Support the development teams for completeness and clarity of functional specifications and manage exception cases
• Be responsible for writing and reviewing deliverables of documentation
• Ensure compliance with quality and performance standards and other non-functional requirements that may have been requested.
• Contribute to the development of the functional architecture in a manner consistent with the Enterprise Architecture strategy.
• Perform root cause analysis of incidents to guide solution support by appropriate teams
• Coordinate investigations and results by querying all relevant stakeholders.
• Support the project manager and technical lead in the release management and risk or impact analysis processes while preparing these activities.

Technical skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in business analysis in ICT projects
• Ability to perform analysis activities: requirements analysis, impact analysis, functional analysis, risk analysis based on the requirements indicated by the business
• Be able to develop user stories based on the analysis and specifications
• Be able to present and document the analysis to the development and test teams involved
• Pay attention to non-functional requirements
• Elaborate test cases and test scenarios in cooperation with the business, development and test teams
• Broad technical interest and knowledge
• Be able to handle basic text processing, spreadsheets and the use of office tools.
• Familiarity with Agile & scrum methodology
• Significant knowledge regarding service technology such as ESB and SOA;
• Practical knowledge of database elements and structures (SQL, Oracle);
• Understand and be aware of security and confidentiality aspects of certain data;
• Fluent reading and drafting of XML and XSD files;

Other requirements

• It is possible that during the course of the assignment the person will be asked to step in on-call duty: the frequency will not exceed once (1 week) every 4 weeks.
