Job description

For a project until end of June 2024 (with option on extension) for our client BNP Paribas Fortis, we are looking for an Agile Portfolio Manager.

Mission context

Agile Portfolio Manager

The mission of the SCS²- Portfolio Management team is to “Enable our ExCo to actively steer the transformation of the bank in line with our key strategic ambitions in a continuous, holistic, balanced & transparent way”.
In order to execute this mission, the Portfolio Management (PM) team needs to monitor the realization of all bank strategic objectives:

PM plays a role in translating defined strategic axis and Commitments into specific and measurable Financial & Non-Financial objectives
PM challenges the identification of contributing Initiatives necessary to support the realization of the strategic axis objectives and commitments
PM consolidate strategic objectives and transformation roadmap updates on a quarterly basis to ensure a neutral follow-up of the Bank Transformation.

Function description

As Portfolio Manager you:

Support and facilitate the Segment or Function MT with the main Constructs (ExCo N-1)
1) Support Segment or Function in the management of their portfolio
You are in charge to support the Segment or Function MT to define their Strategic Axis objectives and compiling the set of Initiatives to achieve the objectives. It encompasses to manage the prioritization process and preparing decision making.
You ensure the Strategic Axis roadmap remains up to date with Segment or Function MT or ExCo decisions.
You support for your perimeter (two Segment or Function MTs) the preparation of the Quarterly Bank wide Transformation steering at ExCo level.
2) Understand and challenge the Initiatives in a neutral way
You ensure the contribution of all Initiatives support the realization of the Strategic Axis objectives. You monitor the progress, the demand and supply balance, detect dependencies and inconsistencies within or outside your perimeter.
You detect the key Initiatives risks and propose with the Constructs mitigating actions.
3) Work within Portfolio Management teams
In collaboration with CIO Office and Finance, you review the Strategic axis roadmap and business case and links with the Bank wide strategy.
You report escalation for your perimeter in the preparation of the Quarterly Bank wide Strategic steering at ExCo level.

	Business experience	mandatory		Broad knowledge of the banking / Financial services sector, ...

Soft skills	Strong written and spoken communication skills in EN-NL/FR Sufficiently senior to work at Exco N-1 & senior management level Strong communicator, diplomatic and customer-oriented Ability to work in co-creation, collaborative mode Structured approach and goal-oriented
