ISO19650 Expert/Consultant
Job description
We are looking for an ISO19650 Expert/Consultant for a project at our client's premises in Brussels. (start date: 01/09/2025 - end date: 31/12/2026)
Context:
Our client's Technology & Methods competence centre is responsible for implementing and supporting the methods, technologies and IT products used by the client. The key words are innovation, implementation and support.
Through cross-functional collaboration between the various competence centres and project teams (comprising different technical disciplines), they continuously improve the common project approach and the knowledge and experience our client applies.
You will join the Methods competence centre (5-10 members), which is involved in supporting people, processes and technologies on the one hand, and focuses on interdisciplinary collaboration between competence centres and on embedding standards on the other. The BIM team is focused on an integral transformation towards a well-founded, integrated, field-supported BIM approach with a pragmatic approach.

Tasks:
As an ISO 19650 consultant, you will be responsible for guiding project teams in implementing the changes that have been made to comply with the ISO 19650-1 & 2 standard in the pilot projects.
Your role will mainly consist of training, guiding, evaluating and assisting the project teams in solving problems that may arise during the practical application of the standard.
In particular:The work will be divided into two parts:

You provide the necessary support and coaching to implement the planned changes for compliance in practice in the areas of:

the organisation of projects (new roles, new deliverables (BEP, EIR), etc.)

the use of software (assessment of the conformity of proposed changes to applications with the standard)

You will update the previously conducted assessment of our processes and, based on a cost-benefit analysis, propose new priority initiatives to our management in order to comply with the standard.
On this basis, you will then contribute to the implementation of the new deliverables.
Work regime:
Part-time (10%)
The work regime can be adjusted up to 25% in consultation with the contractor, depending on the need.
Requirements
Technical skills:
Mandatory:
- You are an industrial or civil engineer (master's level)
- Thorough knowledge of ISO 19650-1 & 2
- You have practical knowledge of BIM processes supported by Revit (or C3D) and ACC (demonstrable experience with these products is required)
- At least 2 years of experience in the past 3 years with a similar project for compliance with ISO 19650
Preferable:
- Practical knowledge of other products from the Autodesk® suite (Navisworks, Vault, etc.) or comparable products in the AEC sector from other suppliers is an advantage.
Soft skills
- You are communicative, accurate, methodical and autonomous, and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team.
- You maintain a helicopter view of a very wide range of solutions and products and are able to structure them.
- You are curious and have a strong customer focus.
- You are flexible and able to adapt to changing situations.
- You have a critical mind and enjoy working in a team.
Languages:
- Proficiency in French or Dutch at level C1 and a good knowledge of the second national language at a minimum level of B2
- Good knowledge of English (minimum level B2)
